I AM AN ABSTRACT ARTIST. I MAKE MY PAINTINGS MOSTLY WITH ACRYLIC PAINTS BUT SOMETIMES ALSO WITH VENETIAN PLASTER, OIL PAINTS AND SILVER AND GOLD LEAF.
I OFTEN PURPOSELY APPROACH MY CANVAS OR WOOD PANEL WITHOUT AN IDEA OF WHAT I’M GOING TO DO. THIS ADDS SPONTANEITY TO WORK. THEN I APPLY DIFFERENT PAINT COLORS IN A RANDOM FASHION. WORKING WITH SUBTLE CHANGES IN THE WAY I HOLD MY TOOLS, I AM ABLE TO GET A BLENDING OF COLORS THAT HOLDS THE EYE.I WAS BORN IN 1959.
I GRADUATED FROM HUNTER COLLEGE IN NEW YORK CITY. I WORKED IN STUDIO 54 WHERE I MET ANDY WARHOL AND SALVADOR DALI. I POSED FOR DALI AND THE PAINTING THAT RESULTED IS CALLED HARMONY OF THE SPHERES. IT CAN BE SEEN ONLINE.
